China Update

Our sourcing manager Fiona Craul has just returned from our office in Shenzhen, China working with our suppliers on various projects and new products coming to the market.

China can be a difficult market to navigate and it is imperative that those purchasing and manufacturing from the Far East ensure all elements of the supply chain are completely transparent. China is experiencing some challenging times at present, the most significant being the shortage of labour and many manufacturing plants are finding it difficult to find and maintain talent, the knock on effect from this can be extended lead times, reduction in quality and pricing increases.

Therefore it is vital to ensure all manufacturers have the capacity, capabilities and quality assurances to produce products, that as a supplier you are involved in all aspects of this chain and that there are stringent QC procedures at all times.
